Great place to have a coffee outside if the weather’s good. Service started off great but deteriorated over the course of our stay. May have just been a busy morning. The staff was friendly enough and fixed all the errors they were making. The location gets the spot a nice rating otherwise it’s kinda average.

A peaceful spot to enjoy a coffee and something to eat. They are very dog friendly and my pup had a relaxing nap next to me on the floor. I love when places are kind and friendly to dogs. Would definitely recommend.

I’m so happy to have discovered this gem in Cape Town. I was here for 8 days and the hotel coffee wasn’t cutting it. Of course we explored the town in search of the coffee that was going to hit the spot. Shift did not disappoint. The coffee is the best we had in town, the green juice was also a favorite, and you enjoy these treats in the cool vibe atmosphere they’ve created. But the staff is the best. They are lovely people serving deliciousness. I did not try the food, but the dishes going past me looked delectable.

I visited this café three times during my trip to Cape Town, and each time I ordered drinks such as cappuccino, café latte, or tea with milk. The service and taste were always excellent. On my last visit, I tried the French toast, which was different from the French toast I’m used to in other countries, but it had a unique and distinctive flavor. It consisted of eggs served with the sweet French toast, which might appeal to those looking for such an experience. I truly enjoyed my time there. I'm definitely planning to return again soon!

What a gorgeous coffee shop! The aesthetic is perfect, the service is excellent and warm and the coffee is wonderful. Its such a perfect experience, I made this my compulsory stop every morning! Their food is so good too! They have a give a book, take a book deal and I am proud to have left a work I truly enjoyed there. It’s an all-round great feeling here at shift. If I lived here, I would want to work here

Spent about an hour here and I was very impressed by the space and the staff were really friendly. There are a lot of plug points and spaces to work independently or in a team. I had the litchi coffee drink and it was a great refreshing option for the summer :) I will definitely be back to try the food, they have a bakery on site
